Potential Front Cover Images

Photo 1: This image is different because she has both of her arms down by her side which is good because I will be able to write cover lines and pull quotes around her. I like how she is smiling because it reflects my pop genre of magazine. Her position is open and makes the reader feel like she wants them to read the magazine.

Photo 2: I like how this image differs from the others as she is not looking directly looking at the camera. However this may make the magazine look less personal as she doesn't look like she is alluring the reader's to open the magazine and read about the article. Also by having her hands on her hips it doesn't leave me a lot of room to place cover lines and other features neccessary for the front cover.

Photo 3: I like how this image has the iPod involved in it because it shows the reader that it is a music magazine. The reader will be able to see from the shelf that it is a music magazine due to the props in this image. She is directly looking at the camera to engage the reader and make it personal to them and it shows she is enticing them to read on. She looks edgy and unique which is what I wanted to portray through the image.

Photo 4: This image has enough space at the top for me to place the title of the magazine. There is also room for cover lines, pugs and pull quotes around the image. I chose to take some photos of her smiling in order to reflect my pop genre of music magazine being fun and vibrant. She is wearing blue because my colour schemes will be blues, greys, turquoise and purples. Her hair is down to show her girliness and to appeal to females. Due to her looking quite old, I feel it will be successful in attracting my target market (15- 19 year old females)
