Contents Page Layout Ideas

Layout 1: This layout consists of the main image being located at the top of the page so that it is the first feature the reader see's when opening the magazine. I like how both columns are next to eachother to ensure the writing flow's into eachother.

Layout 2: This layout differs from the others because the writing would be in three colours rather than two. However I think this may make the magazine look like it is aimed at a younger audience. Also all the writing would be all together so may look too overwhelming and could put reader's off.

Layout 3: This is my favourite layout out of the three. I like how the columns are staggered, so that there won't be a large amount of writing in one place. The main image is going to be the same artist as my front cover and double page spread to emphasise the main artist and article. I will also have another image of a different artist to show the reader there are many more artists to be included in the magazine. I also included a place to put promotional offers/subsriptions to attract the reader and make them want to read on and find out how they can get the offers. The final feature I like about this layout is the name of the magazine is located below the title 'contents' so that the reader can immediatly know it is from my specific brand and once again emphasises the brand to promote the magazine and artists included.
