Questionnaire Results

1. I chose to include this question because I
wanted to see if the gender of the participant
affected their answers about the music
magazine. From the graph I can see that the
majority of my participants were female.

2. I asked how old the participant was because
I wanted to know who I should aim the
magazine at, because this would affect
what the front cover looks like and what
information the magazine has inside.

3. From this graph I can see that the majority of
participants do read and buy music magazines,
however a small portion do not.

4. This graph shows that the majority of my
participants said they read music magazines
every few months. Quite a few people also
said they do buy them monthly. Not many
participants said they buy magazines more
than once a month.

5. This graph shows that the most of my
participants said they would most likely buy
a music magazine from a supermarket. Some
participants said they would buy the magazines
from a newsagent, and a few people said they
would buy from stores such as HMV and
WHSmith. No one said they would buy a
music magazine online.

6. From this graph I can clearly see that most
of my participants are willing to pay
£2.01- £2.50
for the magazine, which I think is a reasonable
price for a music magazine.
A few of the
participants were willing to pay
above £3.00 but
no one was willing to pay
above £4.00.

7. This graph shows that more than half of my
participants would be interested in subscribing
to a specific music magazine which they enjoy,

in order to save them money. However, some
participants said they wouldn't be interested in
a subscription perhaps due to them not buying
the magazines enough in order to save them
money

8. From this graph I can see that pop and R&B/
hip- hop are the most popular genres of music.
Indie, drum and bass and grime were also quite
popular. Rock and dance were the least popular.

9. I think this graph is one of the most important
because it shows what my participants actually
want in terms of a music magazine. The answers
were similar to the previous question with pop
and R&B/Hip- hop being the genre's which people
feel there is a gap in the market for. Indie was
the second most popular, with drum and bass,
dance and grime being the least popular.

10. From the graph, most of my participants said
they would rather famous, well- known artists
to be included in the magazine. Not many
participants were interested in having unknown
artists but a few were interested in having rising
artists.

11. What colours would most appeal to you
on the front cover of a music magazine?

I didn't do a graph for this question because I gave
participants the opportunity to write whichever
colours they wanted without giving them options.

Some examples of colours whicb participants
were: purple, gold, pink, blue, purple, black and
white. Depending on what genre I chose for my music
magazine will affect my choice of colour for the
magazine.

12. From this graph I can see that most of my
participants would want a band on the front cover.
However some people were interesred in having
an individual on their front cover too.

13. From this graph I can see that most of my
participants would want Itunes vouchers included
in the music magazine. However many participants
were interested in promotional codes aswell. Only
a few of my participants were attracted to free
merchandise in the magazine.

14. From this graph I can see that most of
my participants would be interested for up and
coming artists to be included in the magazine as
well as successful well- known artists.

15. My last question showed that the majority

of my participants were interested in having a
live concert list of all the upcoming concerts of my
chosen genre of music magazine.
